Our Deep Play Group selected the book Count Down by Steve Olson for the book hang out. this is a story about the student contestants from the United States that participated in an international math competition as well as an exploration on the culture of math and education. This book is a must read for STEM educators.

Deep Play Groups: an engagement with rich problems of pedagogy, technology and content and their inter-relationships. Deep play is creative, seeking to construct new ways of seeing the world, and new approaches to using technology, in order to develop creative pedagogical solutions.
GROUP GOAL: To study and gather information on real world connections that empower students with STEM learning.
INDIVIDUAL GOAL: To dive deeper into collaboration so that students will be better be able to teach each other as they engage in meaningful discussions.
